We’re looking for an experienced React Native Engineer to help scale the mobile experience used by travelers and transport partners across Distribusion’s global mobility platform. You’ll join a small, high-ownership team building and improving React Native apps end-to-end, collaborating closely with Product, Design, QA, DevOps, and engineering teams across the company. We’re especially interested in engineers with a builder mindset, experience with larger-scale mobile apps, and exposure to B2B or white-label products.

What you'll do

• Launch and scale mobile applications across the product roadmap, supporting different customers and retailer use cases on Distribusion’s platform.
• Build and ship new features in React Native autonomously, from implementation to delivery, ensuring high quality and reliability in production.
• Continuously improve the shared mobile platform and codebase, making every new customer implementation strengthen the overall product foundation.
• Develop customer-requested customizations and enhancements while balancing scalability, maintainability, and long-term platform health.
• Participate actively in architecture and technical discussions around app structure, testing strategy, quality standards, and engineering best practices.
• Collaborate closely with Product, Design, QA, DevOps, and other engineering teams to coordinate dependencies, align delivery timelines, and solve cross-functional challenges.
• Communicate proactively about blockers, risks, trade-offs, and implementation challenges, taking ownership of delivery outcomes in a fast-moving environment.
• Contribute to the team’s engineering culture through testing, code reviews, and continuous improvements to the mobile development workflow and platform.

Workplace: Berlin or Europe

We are a remote-first company, with teams located around the Globe and our HQ office in Berlin, where the team often meets in the office.

Job requirements

Who you are:

• Several years of software engineering experience, including strong hands-on experience building mobile applications with React Native in production environments.
• Comfortable owning features end-to-end: understanding requirements, implementing solutions, testing thoroughly, and delivering reliably within expected timelines.
• Experienced working in fast-paced startup or scale-up environments where autonomy, adaptability, and execution speed are essential.
• Strong understanding of mobile application architecture, testing practices, and maintainable frontend engineering patterns
• Able to collaborate effectively across Product, Design, QA, DevOps, and engineering teams, while coordinating dependencies and navigating competing priorities.
• A proactive communicator who raises blockers early, aligns stakeholders, and handles technical and delivery trade-offs with clarity and ownership.
• Comfortable working in an agile Scrum environment with regular standups, planning sessions, retrospectives, and collaborative technical discussions.
• Builder mindset with a strong sense of ownership. You look for problems to solve, improve systems proactively, and help raise the engineering bar for the team.
• Experience with larger-scale mobile apps, B2B products, or white-label applications is a strong plus.
